Rev Jim McCaughan

Jim is a graduate in Civil Engineering from the University of Dundee, Scotland and in Theology from the Queen’s University, Belfast.

He has lived on the North Coast for 40 years and is passionate about its environment, community and people.

Jim has had extensive community involvement over the years and has been the chairperson of a number of projects which involved close liaison with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, leading to several community grants. This included a local cross-community group for a Peace IV Project to commission a striking piece of public art for Articlave – “The Village with a Big Heart”.

He is committed to outreach and served as lead chaplain of Guysmere Boys’ Camp (1984 – 92), was a guest speaker for various groups who stayed at the Guysmere Centre and has been involved over the years with Benone CSSM and Castlerock CSSM.
