Rev James Hyndman

James is a graduate in both Geology and Divinity from the Queen’s University, Belfast. He also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.

James grew up on the North Coast and has strong family links to Castlerock. He served as Chaplain at Guysmere Boys’ Camp for several years

James has over 30 years’ experience of working in churches across Ireland – at Glenwherry, First Saintfield and Trinity Boardmills – and since 2018 has been Minister of First Coleraine PCI. He has a wide range of experience chairing and convening Committees and Boards of PCI developing new missional, reconciliation and community programmes and events.

As a qualified IFA football coach James has initiated, organised and delivered local and international sports camps for children and young people. He enjoys motorcycle touring and off-road trail riding.
